Mantle Network is an Ethereum-based layer-2 scaling network that adopts a modular architecture, leveraging OP Stack and EigenDA for low-cost data availability, and using Succinct SP1 zkVM to generate zero-knowledge proofs for settling transactions back to the Ethereum mainnet. It provides an execution environment equivalent to the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), allowing developers to directly deploy existing smart contracts. MNT is also used for network governance and staking to secure the network and participate in ecosystem decisions.
